This past weekend, StarMintz made a big splash at the BDA Expo, held at the NEC. Our primary focus was to showcase our innovative StarMintz, designed to seat your aligners perfectly while keeping your breath fresh. The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. In fact, we came with 500 cream eggs and left with NONE! This proves that even dental professionals like a sweet treat now and again.
We had the privilege of meeting numerous industry professionals who not only loved our product but also showed their support. The feedback was not just positive, it was a testament to their belief in our product. We had the opportunity to sit down with Mr Steven Bartlett and listen to his insights on the business side of dentistry, which was truly enlightening.

How to Eliminate Aligner breath in under 60 seconds!

Why are people looking away when I'm talking to them?
That question is one we have all thought about at some point during our lives, but with Invisalign patients, it is one that we think about a lot more than the average person. Why does Invisalign cause my breath to smell stale then?
Bad breath, also called halitosis, can cause us anxiety and also can be very embarrassing to have to deal with. Wearing Invisalign for 22 hours a day surely doesn't help eliminate the issue! So, what is it about these trays that makes your mouth feel unclean?
Firstly, food particles remain on your teeth when you eat, and when you put your trays back on, the particles get stuck in the aligners. if this is left unattended, you will certainly have bad breath.
Secondly, reduced saliva flow: When you wear your aligners, this can sometimes reduce your natural saliva flow, which is essential for naturally rinsing away bacteria and food particles. A drier mouth environment can contribute to bad breath. Have you ever heard of 'Dry Mouth?'
